It's so spacious and well equipped. It's location is ideal for exploring locally or exploring the wider island. The are good local amenities and restaurants within walking distance. We would not hesitate to return or to recommend it to others.

  • "The apartment was very spacious and comfortable."

My only concern was the positioning of the TV. I do not like TVs high on the wall. To watch the TV I needed to lift my chin which gave me a crick in the neck. I like to knit whilst watching TV which was very difficult when you have to keep lifting the head to see the TV. Otherwise we were very happy with the apartment and where it was positioned on the island.

Everything that we could possibly need was supplied for us, including a brand new tower fan, many thanks for that. Only niggle was a very nice coffee machine was available, but no instructions were supplied. Not a massive problem, just a suggestion to provide instructions for use. This was our second stay and it won't be our last.

Unfortunately we found the upstairs neighbours very disruptive (they seemed to enjoy a 1am stroll around the apartment every night), and were disappointed in the beach - the "wonderful sands" are at least a 20minute walk from the house, the immediate beach is purely rock pools. • "Wow! What a gorgeous, well equipped and thought out apartment in a fantastic idyllic location."

This trip was over the May bank holiday at the beginning of the month and although the weather was far from hot it was dry and sunny throughout our stay. Our party consisted of myself, my two young daughters (4 & 1) and my Mother. I happened to also celebrate a birthday whilst staying here. The décor in this apartment is fabulous, homely and welcoming. The beds are super comfy and spacious. Parking is ample and convenient. We did a lot of driving to and from different areas of the island over our stay so didn't really get to spend much time exploring Bembridge, but what we saw of it looked lovely. The nearby beach (very close walking distance) by the Lifeboat station was great for rock pooling when the tide was out. My Mother used to holiday on the IOW when younger and spent her honeymoon there so this apartment was a great base to explore the Island and reminisce about times gone by. We would definitely recommend and if ever back on the Island we would definitely stay here again. Big thank you to the host for all the little personal touches upon arrival too (i.e. milk in fridge, tea bags, biscuits). It made our stay even sweeter and was greatly appreciated.

The Bembridge Lifeboat Station and the RNLI shop were on our doorstep and we were lucky enough to watch a practice launch of both the inshore inflatable and the large lifeboat which was very exciting! Bembridge also surprised us by having all sorts of quaint shops and a cafe serving delicious homemade cakes. Also, a stroll along the beach revealed the Beach Hut Cafe literally on the shore where we enjoyed a glass of wine and another lovely desert. To reach our holiday home, the ferry crossings were another fun part of our holiday.

The owner has thought of everything with lots of lovely finishing touches - Easter treats for the kids, a welcome chocolate cake, huge fluffy towels, dressing gowns and slippers, coffee sachets, ample toilet rolls, soap, coffee pods and sachets. The apartment is perfectly laid out for a sociable family holiday with a large open plan kitchen, diner and lounge. The large dining table was the perfect hub for family games and meals over the wet weekend. The location of the apartment is also perfect. Within walking distance of the beach, the lifeboat station, Co-op and local pubs. As a busy working mum with two young boys, I've never been a big fan of self catering holidays, but 4 Nab House has convinced me that self catering holidays can be relaxing and indulgent. • "We have stayed in many holiday properties over the years and it is fair to say that this one was by far and away the best ever."

It is almost impossible to know where to start,,,, So much care and thought had been put in to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Silly little things such as many extra toilet rolls, extra hand wash and large fluffy towels. Big differences such as a beautiful welcome pack, a really well equipped utility cupboard, high end kitchen appliances and to cap it all, a Smart TV, all made such a difference to how we felt about the accommodation. The comfortable mattresses, beautiful bed linen, and sumptuous sofas, a large kitchen table with enough glasses, plates etc to be able to entertain if desired, all made us feel that Justine actually cared about her guests and wanted them to enjoy their stay and want for nothing. The accommodation was extremely tastefully decorated and altogether perfect. Other property owners could learn a lot from Justine. I would like to say to all other owners, to think about doing the same. When owners leave only one partly used toilet roll, a sliver of hand soap, minimum equipment, cheap kitchen equipment and cheap beds and bedding, and worst of all, .... Freeview TV, (aarrgghh!!) it immediately makes the guest feel that profit is their sole value. Of course you have to make a profit, but you also have to show that the care of your guests is important and these things make a huge difference. Justine has got this all right and we thank her for it all. We had a truly wonderful stay. We would like to also thank Sykes. You were a great and so easy to use. Lovely web site and excellent customer care. I would however ask you to encourage all your owners to follow Justine and to show that they really care about the comfort of their guests. Abandon the awful cheap Freeview TVs, and spend a little extra on a Smart TV. It makes a huge difference! Annette & Robert Culshaw

About the location

BEMBRIDGE

Ryde 7 miles; Newport 11 miles; Cowes 16 miles; Yarmouth 20 miles.

Bembridge sits on the most eastern point of the Isle of Wight, and it is claimed to be the biggest village in England. Bembridge used to be an island in its own right, and until the Victorian era, was a collection of wooden huts and farmhouses, hence Bembridge remains somewhat detached from the rest of the island even today, which adds to its charm. Bembridge is considered to be one of the most upmarket areas on the island and offers a surprisingly busy intertidal sheltered harbour, which is always full of pleasure crafts and fishing boats providing a constant flow of traffic to and from The Solent. From the harbour you will find quiet beaches consisting of sand and pebbles, perfect for swimming, beachcombing and crabbing and in high winds you will see plenty of kite surfing activity. As you walk along Bembridge beach, you will discover the lifeboat station, cafes and the famous Crab & Lobster Inn, as well as the magnificent Culver Cliffs as your backdrop. The village centre offers a good range of small shops, with its award-winning butcher's and 'The Best Dressed Crab in Town' which is situated in Bembridge harbour, you can also sample local produce from the greengrocer's, visit the art gallery and much more; in fact everything you should need while holidaying here.
